We made a pigs ear of it and had our goalie sent off and lost 0-3. So for our sins I think we will have to face Sheff Weds.
Blackburn won but so did Forest so its bye bye to them. Brighton were unlucky Villa equalised late on and it meant Newcastle who won are the champions.

Next is the play offs and Bradford kick off at half 6 with a 1-0 lead from the 1st leg. I'd like them to win it and go up.
 

Fleetwood Mac have done very well this season it should be a good game

Yeah I agree Fleetwood have done well. Bradford and Millwall go to Wemberlee and I want Bradders to win it and come join us cos I doubt we will be going to Wemberlee never mind the prem. The Owls will I fear peck us to death(Scuse the pun lol) I hope I'm pleasant proven wrong UTT

Oh yeah, there was a match in all this mayhem and noise not heard since demolishing Bolton many years ago!
Fair play to Aldershot, they had a right go!
We could have easily blew it!

Made up that hudders and cumbrians have made playoffs.
Fancy playing Exeter again! (Typical!) Couldn't you play someone local?
Oh yeah! There isn't! Do you have derby? Only kidding!

Another bloody derby for John though!
 

We did have Hartlepool but not any more
Always Morecambe if we blow the play offs
We don't have a derby anymore

I wish Tranny all the best and be good to see a proper league club come back up

Suppose, hartlepool v Gateshead will be a massive derby game next season!
 



Thank you We shall be giving it our all but to be honest I'm tipping Sheff Weds to beat us and Fulham to run out the winners. Hopefully I'll be proven wrong. Just hoping we don't get Millwall back up.

Think Hartlepool and Leyton Orient will find it tough in the conf as everyone will try extra hard to beat them

I remember our first home game and first in the conf was against
Canvey Island 0-0 draw and I thought the only way out of this league is a move downwards

I remember we spanked a few teams and outnumbered Leigh RMI 3 to 1 at their ground

Tamworth also beat us home and away the only team to do the double that season

Where are those 3 teams now?

We finished 3rd behind champions Barnet, Hereford 2nd and ahead of Aldeshot 4th and Stevenage 5th

We thrashed Aldershot and scraped a win v Stevenage to win the play offs and return to the FL after just one season in the conf

On our return to the league we secured another promotion as champions.


So come on Tranny come back
 
I'm a bit late with some of my posts, so I'll catch up now. Last week we went to a fish and chip supper evening with Ray Parlour at Swindon Town FC. He was excellent, very entertaining and interesting and funny. We were on the table nearest to him too. (swoon) He spotted my son and started singing 'Oh Santi Cazorla' lol yeh there is a slight resemblance which was also noticed by some Chelsea fans pre match once
We were asked to write down Parlour's Top five (that he had played with at club level) -
Top Keeper
Defender
Midfielder
Striker
Manager. Yeh our table got all 5

On Sunday we took a friend's son to see Arsenal v Man U. Thought of you @noblehead We have taken him to 3 matches now...and got 9 points. We might make this a more regular thing lol .

Today we got our Wembley tickets for Rovers v Rovers. Hmmm back in the day it used to go right to the last game of the season to see if FGR were staying up in the Conference. It was amazing when we did! Now we've moved grounds and are in the play offs. I would kinda like to go back to the old days when it was our friendly little club with modest means and a tiny ground ( and pies and burgers). So I won't be that upset when Tranmere win (but don't tell anyone I said that )

Got Stoke away on Saturday and Wemberley on Sunday. Happy Days.
 
The big weekend is looming. Who's going to Wembley and who's going to take a lead in to the 2nd leg. Hopefully we will be one of them. Sheff Weds are tough cookies. I reckon there'll be a lot of nervous fans from all our teams involved in the play offs.
