Looks like Halifax are promoted to the National league and hopefully replace Tranmere. (Who we hope are going to replace Carlisle in League 2) Who we hope will be joining League 1. Come on Tranny and Carlisle best foot forward.

Fulham and Reading drawn. Means a fight to the death on Tuesday night. 1 of them will be off to Wembley in 2 weeks time. Hopefully Reading as if we are lucky enough to beat Sheff Weds tomorrow and Wednesday then I'd rather we got Reading. Watch this space
 
We blew it finished 0-0. We should have had 2 goals in the first half but fluffed the chances All or nothing on Weds at Hilsborough now.


Hull got thrashed and are now relegated.
FGR winning 1-3 come on Tranmere turn it around.
 
Oh heck Tranmere are staying put Gutted at that I hoped we would see them back in the league. Trip to Halifax for Nosh next season.

Draw for Carlisle. Well done on pulling back from 1-2 down at half time. Hope you manage to pull it back on Thursday night. Good luck Looks like Blackpool and Luton are involved in a tussle. Currently 3-2 to the Pool. Getting interesting now.
 
Well I have just got home from a great day out at Wembley Never expected FGR to win that, but it makes up for the disappointment last year.

Enjoyed the trip to Stoke on Saturday. I didn't enjoy the continued nastiness by Stoke fans towards Aaron Ramsey. It's ironic that they boo him because he wouldn't forgive Ryan Shawcross for breaking his leg 7 years ago. Not forgiving him doesn't mean that Shawcross broke the leg on purpose. Forgiveness (or not) is the prerogative of the injured party, not something that should be demanded. It's ironic that the Stoke fans can't forgive Aaron Ramsey for not forgiving Shawcross. That's just spiteful. We don't see any such behaviour at Birmingham or Sunderland (where Arsenal players also suffered leg breaks) Stoke fans should be ashamed of themselves. Remember this wasn't just a broken leg, it was a near foot amputation, only skin, soft tissue and sock kept the foot from being completely severed as was shown by the awful photos which looked like his boot had been kicked off....then you realised the foot was still in it. Hubby and son were still pale faced and in shock themselves when they arrived home from that match. How traumatic must that have been for Ramsey? A fit young man one minute and potentially an amputee the next. Then there's the many months of hard work and physio to get back to anything like fitness when you should have been at your peak in your career. It would have been wonderful if he felt he could forgive Shawcross, but so wrong to say the words and not mean it, that just cheapens the sentiment of forgiveness entirely.
 
Well, Saints beat Middlesborough and are (just) in the top half on goal difference as we head for the last few fixtures . It's not been an exactly stonking season and i have a sneaking suspicion that Puel won't be in the manager's chair, come the autumn. Now that Hull are going down, their manager would fit the bill nicely. If he can nearly manage to keep up a club with financial problems and an uncertain future, what would he achieve with a solvent, well-managed club?

Mind you, I wish the Liebherr family would make up their minds whether or not they want to own the club. It would be nice to spend a summer not worrying about which of our best players are thinking of heading for what may - or may not - be greener pastures elsewhere because of uncertainties at St Mary's. ....but 'twas ever thus.
 

Would saints make a move for Eddie Howe?
 
Reading v Fulham tonight played to a finish. Think I'd rather it be Reading that go to Wembley just in case we get there. Trouble is then we'd keep Fulham if we lost tomorrow night. Oh well guess we shall find all that out soon
