2024/25 Football Season

We won 2-1. Trouble is Bolton also won so we are still 2 points off the play offs. 6 games left to play. Next game is Home to Wycombe on Tuesday night. The re arranged fixture. Don't think we'll do anything there but you never know. It looks like Birmingham can celebrate Promotion back to the Championship. They are 17 points ahead of 3rd placed Wycombe so I reckon that's more than enough. Not the champions yet as Wrexham can steal it. Going to be an interesting run in.
 
@Lamont D What a great win for you 4-1. Morecambe lot and Carlisle won so gap of 7 points. Got me fingers crossed for you mate. meanwhile at the other end of the table our Neighbours are top of the league. Going to be an interesting run in.

4-0 mate, best second half all season. First half was mostly them.
Dizzy heights for us mate and I can safely say barring a miracle for either those below us, we are staying up.
If you would have said we would be more or less safe before Easter?
I would have said no chance!
C'mon mate, you can get that play off place and who knows what will happen.
 
Accrington away next Saturday is next up.
A draw will do to keep them below us.
And a win will be almost safe.
But a loss will put us back down.
Gonna be fun.
 
Sorry mate I thought it was 4.1. I think you are safe but I didn't want to jinx it for you. As for us well I'd like to see us in the play offs mate but it's a tall order now. The main thing is we still have a place in the league one. We can spend the summer building a new stronger team. I see Leeds have dropped out of auto promo spots lol. Last year they blew play offs places lol.
 
That's it over and done with. We lost and Reading won so gap is now 4 points with 5 games to come. Close the shutters on the play off hopes and prepare for another season in League One. Next game is Away to Burton on Saturday afternoon. Final run in Burton, Cambridge, Stockport, Exeter and Leyton Orient.

Update (late):
Away win at Hearts on the Sunday 1-0. They had their young boy sent off for a straight red and it was. Our on loan striker scored with a lovely header. Top six sorted before the break and maybe Europe, depending on results.

Celtic lose to bottom place St Johnstone
Rangers to lose at home to Hibs 0-2, no real shock though this is the first time in their various histories they have ever lost 6 home games on the bounce, Amazing.

Dees beat Buddies 2-0.

St Johnstone at home tomorrow at 15:00.
Should but you never know, they having beaten Celtic last week might be flying.
Need to win to keep the pressure on the others.

Away to Burton Albion for our lads tomorrow. Just a kick about cos we won't make it to the play offs even if we beat them. The last meeting on 29th Dec ended in a draw. Good luck to all our teams in action this weekend.
