2024/25 Football Season

Lost 3-0. 2 words sum up our performance. Absolute Garbage. 5 shots and not one on Target. Well that's the end of any hopes of making the play offs. 5 point gap. So it's Home to Cambridge next Friday afternoon (Good Friday) Might as well not bother to turn up.
 
We should have been beaten. Worst first half in a season of worst of bad performances.
However, we contrived to score three goals, all beauties to get an undeserved point.
The scenario now with four games remaining, is we are now seven points ahead of the relegation zone.
Doncaster next at home on Friday.

Carlisle beat Morecambe to go above them. Then Accrington, then us.
It's not good on the nerves this.

You did well there mate/ You may have a battle on your hands with Donny. They are pushing for an Auto Promo spot so won't be a push over. I reckon those 7 points have you more or less safe mate. Bad result for our Neighbours Bradford they lost 5-4. Must have been some game for 9 goals. Donny will be pushing hard to steal that 3rd Auto spot from Walsall. Going to be an interesting run in.
 
On this date in 1989. 97 lfc fans went to Sheffield to watch a match and sadly they never returned home. Such a terrible tragedy. I was driving back up the M1 on my way home from wherever I'd been and it came on the radio as I was driving over the Tinsley viaduct. I was choking the tears back I don't mind telling you. Lest we forget them.
 
Easter weekend looms. We are Home to Cambridge United tomorrow afternoon and Away to Stockport on Easter Monday. 2 games that we'll just be playing for the hell of it.

And we lost 1-2. We had a perfect chance to close the gap to 2 points cos the other results went in our favour. Absolute garbage again against a low team. Cambridge are fighting to get out of relegation spot. Oh well over the Border to Stockport on Monday afternoon. Things are getting interesting in the final run ins. Congratulations go to the Midlands. Birmingham are the Champions. Hard to believe that they came down with us last year and they are going back up.
Meanwhile in League two our Rivals Donny are set to gain promo and hopefully bring Bradford back up with them and let's have some more Yorky Derbies.

Yeah you are looking over your shoulders again. Hopefully You'll survive mate. 3 games left. You need to win at least 1 of them and hope Carlisle lose their next one and it's all over. Good luck.
 
There it goes another loss. End of the line League one footy next season. Spend the summer having a clear out now. Exeter away on Saturday. Might as well stay on the road and spend the day down in Cornwall for what good they'll be lol. on a happy note it looks like our Neighbours Doncaster are promoted and hopefully the other Neighbours Bradford will be coming with them.
