2024/25 Football Season

The penultimate football weekend arrives. Our shower of numpties travel to Devon to play Exeter tomorrow afternoon. Don't know why they are bothering. Good luck to all our teams this weekend. Hope they win. Rooting for Tranmere to at least get a draw and cement another season in League 2.
 
Our last home game and it's squeaky bum time.
One of our numpties has got himself a thirteen game ban.
He should have been sacked back when it happened.
I'm nervous.
 
Doncaster are promoted. As things stand Tranmere are staying up and Carlisle are going down. @Lamont D you must be on tenter hooks. You need another goal if poss in the 2nd half or for Carlisle to carry on losing. Meanwhile the fate of Bradford City is in the hands of Walsall who are losing at present. if it stays that way then it all hinges on next Saturday's games. Meanwhile Birmingham have amassed 102 points and still have 3 games to play. Wrexham play this evening and a win promotes them. We at the moment are drawing 1-1 after taking the lead (No surprise there)
 
Congratulations Tranmere staying up @Lamont D am pleased for you mate. We lost 3-1. To be expected. Drop to 10th place. Meanwhile Walsall lost so it's all on next weeks games. Hopefully Bradford can beat Fleetwood and gain promotion. Nail biting finale. Our final match is Home to Leyton Orient next Saturday.

Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich relegated from the Prem, Burnley and Leeds promoted. Cardiff and Plymouth coming to join us in league one. Possibly Hull as well. Birmingham and hopefully Wrexham promoted. Shrewsbury and Cambridge relegated to League 2. Bristol Rovers and Crawley could be joining them. Donny and Portvale coming to join us and hopefully Bradford too. Hard to believe we are 1 game away from the end of another season.
 
Can't believe how your season has gone mate. Just awful.
But not as bad as ours was. Even today. If their offside goal had been awarded, we weren't in it. Then we managed a shot and scored. They had a man sent off for two yellow cards. Biggest cheer of the day. And finished it off in the closing minutes. Phew. It would have been interesting if we had lost and Carlisle won going to Newport next week. But it didn't and we survived.
We don't have a squad, maybe new owners, new manager? We are just in limbo, we survived but only just because Carlisle and Morecambe were just as bad as us. And we had a manager's bounce to get us out of trouble. A horrendous season, an absolute horror show, torturous, just awful.
Don't want to go through all that again.
But that is what we do. Isn't it?

Big crowd today, over 9000.
 
Yeah it's been a bad season for us both mate. Lets hope for better next season.

Yeah Wrexham won last night so are promoted. It's great that they have broken all records. I'm not sure what the record is for maximum points in the league but Birmingham at 102 with 3 games to come must be in with a chance of some sort of record. I'd like to hope that our super rich American owner will stump up the cash and help us build a better and stronger team before the next season. A lot of our fans are fed up and some say they won't renew their season passes. It's a shame to watch a once strong club going down the pan. Even the Rugby club has vacated our ground. They have opted to play at the Shay home of Halifax Rugby club. Thanks to the antics of our council the Museum that housed the birth place of Rugby League has had to move out of the George Hotel cos the hotel shut down a few years ago. A sorry state of affairs at the moment. Oh well we can only hope for improvements for us both mate. Guess it's a hold on tight and wait and see situation.

Not too surprising but very disappointing.

Celtic fans delayed game by throwing oranges onto the pitch protesting increased ticket prices for them by DUFC or something.
Rangers let two in again and only draw.
Dees win away at Hearts

Well done the Rovers!
 
Last game of a horror show of a season.
Still not aware of how the clubs situation will pan out.
Ever hopeful but pessimistic.

Away to Newport county.
Not bothered either way.
But I will watch it.

Yeah our ;last game is Home to Leyton Orient. Like you I'm not bothered what we do. All I am bothered about is that Yank owner of ours buys us a decent team over the summer so we don't have to suffer another humiliating season.

Got a fair few games left.
Away at HIbs tomorrow, could be an interesting game as they have just come off an incredible unbeaten run, largely down to a win at our place when we had a goal disallowed at 0-0 with not long to go...
Top six game, so playing for a place in Europe, which was unexpected at the start of the season.

FA Cup prices and time of kick off. TBD!!
Amazing. BBC wanting 15:00 so it doesn't clash with Eurovision.
FA wanting 17:15 for North America to watch live(ish)
 
I think it's called, pure greed!
The yanks will have their way.
The BBC are a capitalist corporation, run by ex torys.
They don't care about the supporters.
