2024/25 Football Season

Oh right that was bad luck then.
 
2-2 after 84 mins. I daren't look cos if it stays that way then it's straight to dreaded penalty shoot out. Something we all hate.
 
OOOO Yesssssss we did it we actually did it woooohhooooo 3-2 on Penalties. Can you imagine the boost that has given our lads. On to Round 2.

Really disappointing after the effort to get the game on, with folk traveling and all. Fixture congestion...
 
Town on pens!!

Second leg at home v Rapid V, 2-2 at the moment. Mixed feelings as I don't think we could sustain a league season with European football on top.
 
Knocked out on pens 4-5.
Good first half, 2-0 at HT. Fell away and let two in in the second half.
Good extra time, just didn't manage to score.
Knocked out.
Probably for the best.
Away to Killie on Sunday in League Cup. Would be good to win a game.

Another weekend of footy. Our lads travel to Blackpool tomorrow. Hopefully we'll bring all 3 points back down the Motorway.

That's bad luck mate. Penalty shoot outs are nerve wracking and place a lot of stress on players. Still you did well to get 4 penalties.
 
I think that if a team is winning, it has confidence and creates a winning habit.
And luck with the pens mate. Hopefully your lot have a few more pros than done from the game.
At home to the Gills tomorrow, hope the lights are in working order.

Ding dong battle going on. We scored first. They came back at us with 2 goals and we scored to equalise and it's currently 3-2 to Blackpool and they have just had a man sent off so surely we can beat them. UTT.
 
Oh well we suffer a 3-2 defeat. Umpteen chances but couldn't get any in. Bit disappointing but there you go. Hard to believe we dumped Leicester city out of the cup the other night. All the other results went against us too so we slump to 7th place. Stevenage the only team on 100% record now. Next stop for us is a Home tie with Neighbours Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.
 
Drew 1-1, Gills equalised in injury time.
We played ok up to a point, missing a striker to kill game off.
Still not lost after three games.
Burton in the league cup Tuesday.

Not bad then. Good luck in the cup on Tuesday night. Hopefully you'll win and get to play Lincoln City in round 2. At least you'd have a Home tie.
