I was just wondering if that’s was a normal elevation in blood sugar after an hour or so? May be just getting worried for no reason!

@bulkbiker Couple of rashers of bacon, two fried eggs and a few tomatoes really.

Sounds fine.. we usually measure 2 hours after so 1.1 after 1 hour sounds good.. might be an idea to try next time without the tomatoes just to see if they had much of an impact? The eggs and bacon should be fine.

Fair point, might just get some fried mushrooms next time or some high meat sausage instead and see how that gets me!

Please bear in mind EVERYONE sees rises in their BG after eating.
I have seen someone without diabetes with a bg raised to more than 9mmol/l. The difference is without diabetes bg will quickly return to normal.

Yeah that is true, it's the longevity of the spike not the actual spike itself that gets to you, thanks for the reminder!

Yes, I once tested my mother-in-law's blood sugar about half an hour after a meal and it was 10.5 ! She was not diabetic for the many years which followed....
