5:2 anyone?

Evening, just wondering if anyone here follows the 5:2 diet.

I have been following the 5:2 diet for 12 weeks now (since diagnosis of T2) I also do LCHF on my 5 "feast days". I am very pleased with my recent blood test results, a 2 stone weight loss and my disbelief that I am now running 6.5k twice a week :)

I realise that it's probably been an accumulation of the 3 that has given me the brilliant results but I'm debating whether to continue with 5:2. or just continue LCHF. (I'm not on any meds)

I'm just curious to know if anyone else does 5:2. I think I'm getting a bit obsessive with it all. I'm so determined to continue my new exercise/diet regime and was wondering if I could make my life a little easier by just LCHF every day. I've tried running on a "fast" day but really struggle. Think I could manage another run if I stop the 2 "fast" days.

Hope I've posted this in the right place.

Sheila

I used to do 5:2 but when diagnosed with prediabetes stopped as the doc said starving wasn't good.

I'm now doing lie GL which I quite like now I've got my head around it!

I think if you're getting "obsessive" then it's time for a change. If you can follow LCHF without the obsession of the fasting routine and your BG is behaving itself, then I say go for it.
