Hi rhino.

Vildagliptin (Galvus) inhibit dipeptidylpeptidase-4 to increase insulin secretion and lower glucagon secretion. The drug is licensed for use in type 2 diabetes in combination with metformin or a sulphonylurea (if metformin inappropriate) or a thiazolidinedione, when treatment with either metformin or a sulphonylurea or a thiazolidinedione fails to achieve adequate glycaemic control.

Metformin . There is loads of information about this drug on here, just do a search top right and they will all show up.
