5yr old diabetic type 1 not needing nova rapid

hi, on wed my 5yr old had a throwing up bug, thursda he had 6 units alltogether of novo rapid, wich usually he would get at least 12 if not more, he didnt eat anything friday for me but he was drinking normal pop ! he ate quite a bit of sugary food saturday and agin his bloods have ben fine, he has his long acting insuline but hasnt needed his short acting has anyone else had this happen? xx
