Was my 50th Birthday yesterday- felt very old this year & couldn't even eat loads of cake to make myself feel better!!
Anyway being short of strips I had a day off testing yesterday but was still very restrained. Anyway have tested after my meal this evening & my BG was 7.4!!! Am really pleased with that as 2 weeks ago my first test was 19.8 & I guess my average since then has been about 12.

Belated Birthday Greetings and well done for all the hard work you must be doing to reduce your test results.

Oh and don't think of yourself as 50 as you are really only 21 with 29 years of experience. :)
 
Happy Birthday and congrats on the well managed restraint. Not everyone could have done that! If you do want cake WhitbyJet has published some really fabulous (and very well tested by lots of us) cake recipes in the Low Carb Recipes and Chocolate Paradise Threads.

Don't feel old.....my sister was 51 this year but decided to call it the 30th Anniversary of her 21st Birthday!

Thankyou all for your birthday wishes & support. Will look at the recipes but one slight potential problems from what I've seen is that I'm very allergic to nuts so couldn't use almond flour!!
Do like the 29 with experience & 30 years anniversary of 21st - made me laugh thanks!!
