7 weeks since diagnosis and I've not touched white bread, Today I ran out of Ryvita at work so bought a sausage barm. (BAP-ROLL) I think I have lost my taste for white bread. It was bland and I could taste the flour. Wholemeal bread is much tastier. Now I don't feel like I'm missing out on something. In 7 weeks I've learned to substitute one thing for another. Watch the carbs on what I'm eating and not missing much. Although I got caught out last night as I drink soda and lime in the evening instead of a larger. The brand I got at the weekend was very high in carbs. Didn't realise until I did a pre dinner BG test. I checked the label when the reading was high. I won't be making that mistake again. Did 5 mins of stepping to lower BG level before my dinner. Does anyone else find they eat for the sake of eating. As apart from midday I'm never hungry.
