8 months into diagnosis

Hi esmg,

I feel the exact the same about you towards my diabetes. The whole denial thing, "why me" and it doesn't run in my family either. I feel like I've had no support with anything through out my diagnosis and everytime I go to the check ups they change my routine. I go throu phases with the denial part. I have my good months then I just don't inject when I eat. Ur not alone...

No you aren't alone, but you really need to think of your futures. Sorry, it is hard to think of, especially so if you are young. You will need to think of good control for any female wanting to have a good pregnancy and healthy baby in the future. For men, well you need to think of the impact with having Erectile Dysfunction.

Life's not easy for a lot of people. Think of those poor young chaps who come back from places like Afghanistan minus 2 legs and an arm (then gets robbed by his best man!). They go on an walk the icebergs and snow etc to raise awareness and money.

Be honest with your DSN's and try to manage, life isnt easy, but diabetes is not the end to a good, happy life unless you allow it.

I'm the same, but it's been like 5 years now.
