I'd just like to give a very big thank you to everyone here with their advice and help.
I was diagnosed as type 2 last year.
Suffice to say they advice given at my docs was woefully inadequate and my levels went from 58 somethings on the first test to 57 even after changing my diet.
So I came on here got advice about carbs n stuff.
I've tried to stick to it as much as possible ( holiday excepted where I had a whole 2 weeks of pankcakes, syrup, cakes and all manner of nice stuff).
So I wasn't too expectant of a good result when I went again for my latest blood test as my pill pushing doc had said "Go on metformin", no answers to questions or advice previously.
So this test result.......
down to 50 something or others, the nurse said jolly good, no need for metformin and said I'd gone from 14 1/2 stone to 11 1/2 stone.
She was impressed that my diet (from here) had let me binge for 2 weeks on sugary rubbish and still gone down to 50.
