It's probably similar thing I asked before but today, I was away at the wedding of my best friend and it was about 65 miles out from home. When I got to the wedding and I realised that I forgot to bring my novorapid and lantus (I am probable type 1, doctors are hard time deciding as I have showed no antibody with okay c-peptide). I panicked a bit to be honest but thought what could ever happen even if I eat. So, I opted to eat regardless. I swear I have consumed about 250g of carbs, not all of them necessarily slow absorbing as there was some chocolates involved. I came home and was going to give myself some insulin but before that, I checked my bg level and it was 7.1. I mean like few weeks ago, if I had that much of carbs and didn't have insulin, I could have gone to hospital for DKA. Then I ate dinner just to check. I had rice and bits and didn't give insulin either. So up till now, it has never been over 7.4 all day. This thing has been going on for a week and half now but today was the only day I had this much of carbs and didn't give myself insulin. Other days, I had moderate (70g max a day) carbs with at least lantus in and check bg to decide whether novorapid is needed or not.
Am I suddenly cured?
