Hi everyone - Im now around four weeks into my life as a type 2 - and a few questions that i would really appreciate help with please ?
I started out eating healthily - only wholemeal bread, lots of fish, vegs etc, and felt brilliant. I found my exhaustion levels improved loads, and I just had lots more energy. I also had a significant weight drop which is very needed,
I was taking the Metformin my GP had given me, but it was giving me terrible stomach pain and the runs, so on your advice changed to the slow release.
I also changed to low carb food, lots of protein and fats, very little carb.
Now .... this week I feel like ****. I am tired again and struggling with the exhaustion, and although the runs and stomach pains have stopped - i was constipated. ( im sorry if this post is tmi) for two whole days
It must be the change in diet and the meds - but I would be grateful for your opinions on this - I dont want to be sleeping my days away again
