I'm struggling to get my bottom jaw off the floor.
When my diabetes was diagnosed in hospital while in for something else 2 and a bit years ago, without anyone telling me, and being given insulin injections without anyone telling me what they were and why they were (though I could work it out) I was also put on aspirin and Clopidogrel. After I came out of hospital, my GP phoned me that night and told me to come off the aspirin and Clopidogrel at once and to collect some other meds from the surgery the following day. But he didn't give any reasons and I was too ill to initiate conversation.
Now I discover why I shouldn't have been prescribed those.
Words do not fail me, but suffice it to say thank you for the explanation and links. I do wonder if most medics who specialise in this or that ever consider that they are treating a whole person who may also have some other condition as well.
