G'Morning all! Happy Monday...
So, I needed a prescription refill and the GP wanted to see me just to check on a few things. So at 0830, there I was with her for what I thought would be a 5-10 mins in and out - got that wrong! Turns out she has a special interest in diabetes due to her parents both being diabetic.
We did BP, she checked my feet, was pleased my first eye screen is tomorrow, did me my Metformin after asking how I was, looked at blood test daily data and before sending me off to get bloods taken for an HbA1c said the following:
"Really sorry about the locum who was here - won't be using her again. This low carb diet you're starting out on is a real game changer for T2s..." 25 mins later, bloods taken and an impromptu hello with the DSN who chatted for 5 mins.
Their coffee machine seemed to be on the blink, so I ordered up Costas all round and left them on the reception desk.
Gold dust this bunch. Our planned house move later in the year might be abandoned so I can keep with them. The other half negotiation will be the tricky part
