Hi Everyone,
I received my test results last week and I am so pleased with them.
HbA1c now 49 and was previously 76.
Serum Cholesterol 8.9
Triglycerides 1.1
Liver Function Normal
My nurse asked what I had done to make this happen, I explained I was on a LCHF diet and she told me to carry on as my results were fantastic, when I asked for more test strips ( I receive 50 every month) she doubled it without question when I explained it is the only way I can work out what to eat.
She also gave me an extra meter and all the spare test strips she had this was 600 in total.
Her comment was why can't everybody do this, my reply was they probably don't know.
I was taking 2 x 500 Metformin a day, my nurse has suggested we lower this to 1 tablet a day.
I have been asked to return in 10 weeks to see how this is going.
None of this would have been possible without the people on this website, I in debt to you all.
My cholesterol was 8.9 but she didn't make a big deal of it as I refuse to take statins, the only comment was perhaps lower my intake of red meat and have oily fish instead.
