Hi there, I`m t2 with normally good bg control (last 2 hba1c were 39 and 40 last one being just 2 months ago) I am just getting over a cold and my bg levels are ridiculous. This morning I was 11.9! after a walk it has come down very slightly but not much. The thing is , I`ve been doing lchf for quite a long time now and have been successful in losing weight and feel better than I have done in years but this reaction to a cold , if that`s what it is, seems ridiculously ott. Could this be anything to do with the lchf diet or even physiological insulin resistance somehow?

hi there
higher BG's is completely in line with a cold or infection.
as I take insulin I need to take 50-100% more when I have a cold.

even with metformin and a LCHF diet the body will be busy fighting the infection and BG's will rise.

Thank you, just a little worried I suppose.
