well for starters i have the symptoms increased thirst, toilet use, drained of energy, blurred vision (usually a short while after eating a meal) I crave energy drinks for the boost as I'm always tired and irritable even after a lengthy sleep. Thursday and Saturday I came home from work Early after feeling unwell and couldn't keep on task on Saturday I went to the out of hours doctor after throwing up I didn't feel like eating so I drank some water I couldn't keep it down. The nurse took my bp temp and blood sugar but said it was fine at 4.8, I have read this is fine is it possible to be undx and still get normal readings at times? Especially with all the symptoms? Sorry for the lenghy post thanks in advances

It's possible. You should get an HbA1c test to check for diabetes. However, it's just as likely or more likely that your symptoms are caused by something else. You need to see a doctor ASAP and get more tests than bp, temp, and blood sugar. I would guess maybe you should go cold turkey on the energy drinks. :stop: Read the label on one and I bet it says not to have more than 1 a day. Are you under a lot of stress from work or personal life? That could also throw everything out of whack.

Well those symptoms are consistent with dianetes but you may have been unwell with something else that caused thirst and dehydration. While your 4.8 reading is normal, sounds like you had not eaten for a while beforehand? If the other symptoms continue go back for more testing, including a glucose tolerance test as well as a fasting blood glucose test.

Now is 2-3 hours since I last eaten And I'm kind of jittery I get these symptoms mainly after eating for a few hours at least. 8hrs sleep or more is never enough I use energy drinks to get through the day I crave sweet stuff constantly 2-3 chocolate bars for lunch

A little check on WebMD: "There are 92 conditions associated with fatigue, frequent urination and increased thirst. " :nailbiting:

Well, even a non-diabetic will have hyperglycemia if they eat that much sugar. :shifty: Just eat like a normal person and you'll likely see an improvement. But go see a doctor ASAP. That is all.

Caffeine poisoning from all the diuretic "energy" drinks.
Knock off all the sugar and caffeine. You will have a brutal headache for a couple of days, then you will feel like a human being again. If not, see a doctor.
