What I find perplexing, and yes it's another question about BG levels, is that when I tested this evening 1 hour after eating my reading was 6.5 then an hour after that at two hours it was 7.1 I thought it would have gone down after two hours when compared to the one hour test not up or am I being a little simplistic.

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I will come along John but I wonder if it was a slower release type of meal? Maybe something a bit fattier than usual? Dunno, just guessing really!:D

As @ladybird64 suggested, what if your peak was after 1 hr? It would perfectly explain the increase.

Not only that, but you're talking about a difference of less than 10%. That could easily be the meter's in accuracy.

This morning, I had back to back readings (both at 7:44am) of 158 and 137 on my accu-chek Aviva expert and it's one of the most accurate meters on the market.

@ladybird64 and @TorqPenderloin thanks for the replies I think you both could well be correct I am still pretty new to this and tend not take in properly that foods are absorbed in different times and also maybe I place to much trust in the instrument silly really when I used to earn my living calibrating electronic test equipment. So will test again in a while and see if things have changed.

Yup now down to 5.6 very happy about that did feel quite woozy for a while there though, sometimes can't tell if its the D thats making me feel bad or my other condition. Or both.
