Hi,
I am new to the forum. I am french moved to the UK recently and will go to see a diabetologist in hospital tomorrow in the UK for the first time.
I am a bit scared. I will go with the tests I did with my meter for the last 4 months but they are all in Mg/Dl of blood. Are the tests done in Mg/Dl of blood or is it in Mmol here ?
Thank you.

Hi, I'm British but live in France.
They use mmol in the UK but I'm sure they can convert from mg/dl! I have two meters, one in mmol and my French doctor coped just fine when I forgot to change a series of readings.
One confusion might be if you write your readings as g/l (ie . 126mg/dl on meter written as 1,26g/l),I've found nowhere else to do this. It might appear that you were living in hypoland but you'd just need to explain.

Hi and thanks a lot.
You're very lucky to be the other way around !
We have way better doctors and not that long to wait to get an appointment. And they give pumps very easily ! I just hope they'll accept mine here... :?

Let me know how you get on with the pump. I have had one since April and although I'm not intending to return to the UK I might have to. I'm not to keen on having to give it up!
