Just been skating at a local skatepark near where I live. It was awesome. A few of the youths were intrigued with me testing my blood glucose levels. And they seemed to understand what I told 'em. I didnt get any of the weird or misbelieving looks I get from most adults. I am totally stoked. I even let the little dudes ride my precious skateboard. does something happen to people later in life which causes strange ideas and lose grip with reality?. :D

How nice to hear something positive about todays youth. It is easy to forget given the recent media coverage that there are good and bad at any age. Nice of you to share your board!

Incidentally my 4 year old has been more understandsing and takes more interest in my situation than my Husband (who after over 3 months still won't really talk about it -although he did say he was proud of me and the way I was handling things - I think he still hasn't gotten over the shock of it all where as I am just getting on with it!

As an old retired teacher, I still find kids are curious and not judgemental unless taught tto be by adults.
