Hello, first post so please be gentle..
I'm a dad to a 14 year old trooper of a lad, who was diagnosed as type 1 last February, a few days after his 13th birthday. He is doing really well with everything and we are very proud of how he has adjusted to everything.
For the last six months he has been "participating" in his new hobby, small bore target shooting at a local gun club.
The club have been fantastic with the way they have embraced him and helped him along the way and the fact that having him has drastically reduced the clubs average age. They are that confident wih him that they have recently entered him into a County tournament. We are all proud of the way he has taken to this and really proud of his acheivements so far, especially as he is using a full size gun, which is far too big and heavy for him.
The members of the club have agreed that they will look into getting him a junior rifle and that is the purpose of this rather long winded post.
Does anyone know if there is any 'help' the club could get in purchasing this junior rifle, by way of charitable grant/bursary or anything else?
Many thanks..
