Hi, my friend recently was diagnosed with diabetes, he took a reading and the reading said 10.3, then he suggested that i try, well I did and the reading as 9.3, now i don't know if he is winding me up or is this something i should get checked out, i'm male and 56yrs. I really would appreciate it if someone would tell if 9.3 is high or what. Thanks Adrien
 
Hi Adrien, I agree with Montana, make appointment with your GP and hopefully you can get the info/advice you need.
 
If you feel that you are not sure about going to your GP go to a pharmacy Lloyds do a finger prick test so others may do to but you do need to find out if your BGs are high because the sooner you start to lower the levels the less likely you are to have complications but please dont panic or hide your head in the sand

When you go to the go or pharmacy try to go first thing in the morning and don't have anything to eat and only drink water as that way you'll do what's called a fasting test which is what your doc will want you to do anyway.
