Rasmus Lerdorf, who we have to thank for making the web truly interactive via his creation of the web scripting language PHP.
I remember its origin and seeing its potential when he was still a student and created his original "Personal Home Page Tool" to maintain his interactive home page.
IMO he probably comes a pretty close second to Tim Berners-Lee.
