Abbot Freestyle Freedom Lite Meter RIP

I went to test for my post breakfast reading, some how my meter ended up in my fresh cup of coffee.

Meters do not swim very well unfortunately, neither are they waterproof.

Got on the phone to Abbot and they are going to replace it with a new one under warranty, which should get here Monday or Tuesday.

Condolences @Tipetoo. In any case a shot of caffeine might have sent the sensor into a frenzy. Just look up what caffeine does the webs of spiders given it !!

It did not like Robert Timms granulated coffee, that's for sure.

I just pressed the M button and it started up OK just needs the time reset, must have dried out completely over night.

It's still going back though as per their instruction.

My new Abbot Freedom Lite meter kit arrived by courier yesterday morning, it came up on overnight air freight.
