Hi so I had my baby girl 5 months ago I'm still taking so much insulin really struggling diabetes and being a mum,
I think the new libre meter could help me alot do we know if it is available yet through NHS in the UK.
Many thanks jemma

No it's not available on the NHS.

Hi Jemma, as @CarbsRok says it's not available yet on the NHS but I've read that some diabetes clinics are offering the Libre for use in the short-term , might be worth asking your hospital clinic if you haven't done so already.

I tried the libre for two weeks. They are expensive and in my opinion it didn't give accurate readings. Certainly wouldn't calculate my insulin with it.

My diabetic clinic is trialling libre with abott. Seems like they fit it and you get one sensor to try and scanner to keep. Hopefully organised for December will let you know how it goes. Worth asking locally you never know. Good luck with it

Thank you for your responses will look into it see if works for me x
