Whereabouts are you in the UK / world? Has your GP investigated? I would rescan if you're still getting pus
I'm in the U.K. they did a mammogram and ultrasound back in oct when they aspirated by needle the remaining pus after a course of antibiotics..since then I've had numerous short courses of antibiotics which have failed to resolve the breast abscess, though gave transient relief to my shoulder/neck/ arm pain that precedes my breast abscess by about 18months. I did finally get an xray of my shoulder, after a course of antibiotics a few weeks ago but have not had the results. I was becoming concerned about internal abscesses what with the acute abdomen and shoulder issue. I have been waiting to return to breast clinic but it's almost a two month wait. My feeling is that i would benefit from a 6 week course of antibiotics to irradicate possible systemic infection, rather than short courses?
probably as a result of an acute hypo
No I am not on insulin, I was diagnosed in 2003 with diabetes and rebound hypoglycemia. I have a blood sugar range of 29mmol - 1.9mmol which if i ate a normal diet can occur three times a day, every time I eat, for that reason I follow a low carb diet which helps to prevent it going so high, but i am often hypoglycemic, which is probably a saving grace in that it possibly prevents infections getting life threatening. So yes very high blood sugars but they never stay high. If i don't eat then they fall progressively: 1st day fasting 3.6, 2nd day fasting 2.6mmol, 3rd day 1.6. But thank you for your help. XAre you on insulin? What are your blood sugars like? A lot of issues can be caused by high blood sugars and relieved by normalising your levels.
Please...if you have any chest pain get to hospital......the other symptoms sound as if you have a bacterial infectionHi, I've had a bad shoulder for over two years, it seemed to start after a bad collapse, painful acute abdomen, (right side also) resulting in losing consciousness, probably as a result of an acute hypo. Then to exasperate matters I wounded my right hand, and was given a short course of antibiotics. So terrible painful nights with awful sweats then 6 months ago i came out in a right breast abscess which I had needle aspirated to remove remaining pus. My shoulder got even worse lumps and pain extended up my neck down my arm. Still have pus, and getting arm numbness sporadically any suggestions.
Yes I definitely have an infection. How to get rid of it seems the problem.xx
