Accu check. Aviva nano chip

I use the Aviva nano blood test machine
And was instructed ALWAYS change the chip provided but now the last two tubs of testing strips havnt had one in the packet. Thought I'd dropped them and couldn't find them . But when I asked my pharmacist he in formed me that they have now stopped producing the chips so keep using the same one. Anyone else had any problems ??

This changed about 8 months ago, I believe. Accu-chek strips started having a new insert stating that the new code for the meter would be XXX, for the Expert and Combo meters it is 111, and that changing the chip each time was no longer necessary. Now I've had several without a new chip. It doesn't seem to be a problem . . . . . . .

The Black Chip with the code 111 as Dougal says was included in the box for many months after the change over, there was someone else just recently who had the same problem and they phoned the Roche helpline and they sent the chip out in the post, once you insert the chip you don't have to change it ever again.

I too use the aviva check nano meter.

As nigel above says , the new black chip is numbered 111 .

Pop it in the side of your nano and no need to ever change or use
another chip 'again' ...
All accu-check by roche pots of test strips are pre-coded to accept the 111 black chip only now.
It is easier and much simpler with this new style, just replace pot of
new test strips and 'no need' to worry about a change of code chip at all . :thumbup:
