Hi- I have an Accu-Chek Aviva Expert meter. I really like it but sometimes when I have a high level, it doesn't bring up a correction dose. Not all the time. Only when the levels are in the high 20s and over.
Look at your settings, you have to program the meter to give a correction dose when your bg levels exceed your upper bg range, check with the instruction manual if unsure.
Edit to say, if you still have IOB it may not advise on a correction dose, meaning if your insulin is still active and your testing within an hour or two from bolusing for a meal.
