Not sure if everyone knows yet but I was on the Accu-Chek website last night and as from December the Multiclix lancets will be discontinued, they are offering a complimentary upgrade to a Fastclix finger pricker if you head over to the site, just thought I'd let everyone know and I apologise if you already did :) lol x

Both are very good lancing devices, but tbh I liked the Multiclix device better than the Fastclix, but thanks for the heads-up on this @kaylz91

I wouldn't know about the Multiclix as I had a Freestyle one when first diagnosed that was c**p IMO and got the Fastclix with my new meter in December and I think its good :) x

The Freestyle lancer is rubbish, totally agree @kaylz91

Thanks for the heads up @kaylz91 . I'm a Fast clix user myself..

By the way, would you like me to put your thread in diabetes discussions? I feel it may be more productive spreading the word... ;)

Thanks for that, I have a good supply of lancets at the moment. No doubt when it comes time to get more I will have totally forgotten about this

Yes please! :) I just wasn't sure where I should post it! LOL x

No problem! I wasn't sure where to move it... :D

The fast clix are great. I've been using them a fair while now along with the Mobile.. No loose used strips or exposed lancets drifting about the bottom of my bag till a chance to dispose of responsibly.... :sorry:

I love the Fastclix. I've used mine for over 3 years. Accu Chek sent me a replacement after 3 years along with a new AC Mobile.

Fastclix certainly seems to be commonly preferred. I was given an Aviva and Freestyle Neo (for blood ketones) when diagnosed and my DSN took the lancet out of the Freestyle box when showing me how to use everything and told me to use the Accu Chek one. :joyful:

I purchased another new Multiclix a month or so back from my pharmacy for future use, I also have a couple of Fastclix in the drawer.

I prefer the Multiclix to the Fastclix tho'.

I've never used the multi, though the principle looks the same to the fast.
What is it that sways your preference?

I must admit that the offset hole in the pricker took a little while to get used to.. Lol, Especialy when low...

Prescription wise it's never been questioned why I request the Multiclix/Fastclix lancets when I no longer use a Accu-Chek meter to test :)

I like the fire button being on the side of the Multiclix better, than the push button on the end of the Fastclix.

Actually? Now you mention it. The activation "biting point" before the action on the Fastclix could be a little higher..
(Not so "long winded" on the push down.)
But I suppose that's the design of the pricker mechanism around the barrel design..
Lol, geek alert! Just measured it & the push is approximately 11mm before the click..

Get what you mean @Jaylee, on the Multiclix it was just a case of pressing the release button on the side of the lancer.
