accuracy of meters

i have just changed my testing meter from a freestle freedom to a beyer contour usb
which was given to me by my specilaist nurse.My readings are some 25% higher
with the new meter. have checked both meters with control fluid and both are with recommnded
ranges . i thought i was controlling well but am now quite despondent.
has anyone experienced the same with these new meters? :(
 
Comparing meters is a nightmare. They are only supposed to be within 15% accuracy, so at an extreme you could have a 30% difference between them. You need to just forget comparisons and stick with one machine, and believe it. Difficult I know.
