Aches and twitching

Diagnosed only last Friday T2. Recently noticed that my lower legs ache in bed, I'm twitching and waking myself up. Already have arthritis in my hips. Has a body else had these aches and twitching or is it not diabetes related?
 
They did with me in the early days (legs at least) but I don't have arthritis .. but got the BS under control and have had no problems at all with exercise and diet.

Where is the twitching? Your BS numbers ?

They are from just above my knee at the side all the way down, my fasting test was 9.7
 
BS too high at 9.7 so meals might be an issue.

Left hand side Sandrao or both?
 
Both, have stopped most carbs changed bread as per advice on here. Had this for a while before was diagnosed
 
Toss and turn most nights due to arthritis in hips but this is driving me mad. Have ordered a meter and waiting for it to come .
 
Need to have that looked at Sandreo .....At the outset, I would have suggested a REALLY soft bed (pillow top) as a possible option but not until you get your meter, test your readings and then seen your GP.

Sleep deprivation I hate with a passion.

I have a memory foam topper on my bed and sometimes put a pillow between my knees which helps sometimes. Hate not being able to sleep as I work full time in a school, so not good
 
I am out of ideas Sandreo. Stupid question, but how are you during the day as in standing up?

I'm fine when standing it's only when I lie down or sit I ache, forgot to say my left arm aches when I'm on my left side. Think I need shooting I'm falling apart lol
 
Have mentioned it to the doctor before but i think they are putting it down to arthritis, will tell him again

I get the same thing on occasions. Exercise regime given the hip arthritis?
 
Walking is the only exercise I get as back and hips hurt after half an hour or so
 
Yep. Gotcha as i have a mate with T2 and arthritis. All I suggest is GP. Sorry to hear about your woes.
