aching upper limbs

could any one help me i have been type2 diabetic for 5 years 3 tabs a day bloods are quite good
is there a link with aching limbs & type 2 it started wth left elbow then right elbow now also right shoulder neck and now started to effect left shoulder at first my gp put it down to rsi but on reflection this all started gradally after being diagnosied type 2

Have you been put on statins? If so might be a good starting point for side effects.
