ADA's CEO Read's Dr B's Diabetes Solution...

ADA had sidelined and dismissed low carb for so many decades it leaves them with little to no clinical expertise when it comes to leveraging on low carbs as a primary tool for T1D/T2D intervention.

It could still be an enormous challenge to overcome the boardroom inertia to provide any true low carbs support programs, except in her personal capacity, when they are possibly dominated by pharma execs.

But yes. It is a positive step in the right direction...

Ah! The politics of Big Pharma. I wonder whether they sign conflict of interest statements about the decisions they make !! And what if the CEO goes low carb and comes off some medication !!
She might have Bog Food to contend with also.
Seriously if the physicians 'brought by Big Pharma' are corrupt and the AMA and licensing boards do not keep them in line then the whole system is sunk. To save on costs, to reduce usage of insulin/other medication and survive, low carb will have to find its way to the masses. A vote by foot, before they are lost to complications, is the only answer? The perverse thing is that the more the rich cling to the high carb approach and more drugs and more tech the greater the disparity between rich and poor there will be but (unless some follow Bernstein et al) the relatively poorer outcomes the rich may suffer if not from expanding waist lines then from drug side-effects.
Brave New World.
