Hi,
After a period of struggling with diabetes, extreme weight loss and fatigue, dizziness and headaches I've been diagnosed with addisons on top of my diabetes.

Just wondered if any other T1s on here have got it? And can give me some help comng to terms, tips etc

As its supposed to be very rare in general pop, but more common in type 1s?

Dave

Sorry to hear that Dave, I did already know type 1's are at a heightened risk of Addison's disease as this was suggested to me a few years ago when experiencing tiredness and fatigue.

Hoping someone will be along soon to offer some advice and support!

I hope I'm not breaking a rules here, but if I do I'm sorry it mods remove my link dave give me a pm and I pm it to you

here's more info of Addison's with diabetes www.addisons-diabetes.gkznet.com it also has it's own forum..

There is only one member on here that I know of who has both condition, hopefully they will be along to give some information..

Hi thanks for that I've signed up to that, and posted over there too.

I was made to believe it was quite common in diabetics so thought I would find loads of people on here with both!

Whenever I google it I get more websites about Addisons in dogs than about it in humans! Lol

I know this thread is quite old, but i am newbie to the forum, and would like to say that I have T1 and Addison's disease and an number of other issues so there are a few of us out there.
