My son was diagnosed at 8. He is now 12. What can I expect from puberty? I have heard it can send levels all over the place. He is still quite unstable although through carb counting we are learning what foods do to his levels. He has had some really unexpected highs the last couple of days??? I have tried to contact his diabetic team but not available till tomorrow. What knowledge do you guys have of how to deal with this. I know this may not be due to hormones but that will be knocking on our door soon .
