Yes, I had all those symptons but looked at them in isolation and never put two and two together. I could find a reason for each of them. I was seeing an obesity specialist to help with yoyo dieting over the years and she put me on something called 'Ozempic' to help with weight loss- it also used to help people with diabetes. So I was not surprised to losing weight but losing 28lbs in 9 weeks was probably too much! She was not bothered by the rapid weight loss but fortunately her nurse picked up on the other symptoms and sent me for a blood test which came back on the day I had the DKA. My blood sugar frequently goes below 4.0 so I am gradually decreasing the insulin and trying to balance my diet. I have been eating low carb for the last few years so fortunately I have not been finding it too difficult. I keep being reassured that my eyesight will return to normal but I think that is one of the worst things for me at the moment- I cant drive or work as I am a teacher.
