I ate my breakfast about half hour ago and did my insulin for it as usual. I've just been sick and thrown all of my breakfast back up again!
I don't think I can eat anything else so what do I do about the insulin? Shall I have a drink with the same amount of carbs in it that I've injected for?
From what i have read here, Yes take a glucose, sugar drink, if you can't keep it down put a spoon of sugar glucose syrup in your mouth and swish it around. It seems you can absorb the sugar in your mouth.
For the record and future googlers (yeah, right...) most pharmacies sell glucose powder (about £1.50 per pound) which you can put into your tea (or whatever works best for you) and sip. If you can't keep anything down at all, it will probably take an IV so better get yourself to the nearest hospital.
