I am a type 2 diabetic group 2 driver currently on metformin and sitagliptin tablets. My gp has refered me to the diabetic renal unit as I have a gfr of 40. I understand that my kidney function is only at 40%.
Can I go onto Victoza or Byettta injections, or am I likely to have to go on insulin injections, as if I do go on insulin, I'm likely to lose my group 2 entitlement for at least 3 months.
If I do go on victoza or byetta, do I have to inform DVLA Driver's Medical Group ?
