Hi there,
I am new to exercise - short walks at best- but have started the Couch to 5k programme. After day 1 ( yesterday) 5.2bg (from 8.3 after lunch).
The 5.2 dropped over the next hour to hypo (3.6 and falling).
I took on the fast acting carb etc
After my exercise what should I take. The Cto5k recommends a banana but they are full of carbs. I did have a cup of tea with milk and 2 malted milk biscuits after the run.
What could I try?
Thanks

Hi there, what type are you and are you on any medication, (if you're on insulin for example, the advice might be different in response to exercise). If you are type 2 and not on medication, it seems unusual that you would hypo to the extent that you needed to treat urgently but I think it can happen. Others with more knowledge will be able to help I'm sure. x
