Type of diabetes
Type 1
Got distracted thinking about work. Gave myself 6 instead of 4.
Can I apply the following maths:
4 insulin (usual) = 3 cho
2 insulin (extra) = 1.5 Cho
1 Apple = 1 Cho
0.6 cup of milk = 0.5 Cho

So i eat apple and drink milk on top of 3 slices of bread and butter?

And do I reduce lunch dosage to 4 or just continue 6 and 6?

Doctor responded. The top up is ok. Need to maintain 6 and 6 for lunch and dinner.

Wow that was like a maths problem back in secondary school!

Glad it's sorted though and you were correct :)

Is insulin supposed to hurt? The injection does not, but 1 min after injection it hurts.

I am glad it is all sorted now, sometimes I get that with my night time Levemir and occasionally with the Novorapid, diabetes can be a bit :wacky: sometimes. It could be like an after shock, if you know what I mean, but if you are concerned or worried or it is ongoing, please seek help and advice from your DSN.
Take care :)
