I have just been told by my GP that he thinks I have diabetes 1. Although I am not too convinced by this.
I have fatigue and drink a reasonable amount of water (6 pints a day avg) I don't have a raging thirst, but I am thirsty. I have aching muscles and carple tunnel syndrome, my concentration is poor and I have a fuzzy head often and cannot get enough sleep. I am putting weight on about 2 stone per year.
I have been tested for hypothyroidism, my latest fasting levels are:
Blood sugar 9.
Anti thyriod 10
TSH level 2.87
t4 level 17.5
I have high colesterol and he has diagnosed me with metabolism syndrome.
Most of us hee are not doctors. If you are not happy with what one of your doctors is tellingyou, ask for another opinion.
From my non-medical view point, that could be metabolic syndrome, but I don't know enough to know what else it might be.
hya and welcome, same as already said rearlly,it could be many things,if u arent happy seek a second opinion let us know how u get on and if youve joined the diabetic club
If you were type 1, unlikely your bg would stay at 9 for long without insulin. Within weeks, you'd know
Thyroid might be to blame, TSH seems fine but think the other ones are a bit high?
Weight gain is maybe insulin resistance based, in which case more akin to t2
