Advice on blood sugars

Type of diabetes
Don't have diabetes
I have not been diagnosed with diabetes but i did a random blood sugar test about 8 months ago. My mum is type 1 and it was really out of curiosity. I was 7.1 fasting. My mum was a bit concerned so i have randomly checked every so often. I seem to be 5.9 to 7.1 first thing in the mornings and high most of the time. Today for example i was 6.1 this morning before eating. I ate jam on toast at 1pm and tested at 3pm. I was 11.1

I tested again at 7.30 pm and was 6.6

I ate spaghetti hoops with a slice of toast at 7.30 pm and tested at 10pm and i was 7.7

I have had some days where i have been 4.6 usually around pm. This is the lowest i have been.

I am not sure if i should be concerned. I mentioned to my Gp 8 months ago that i was 7 in the mornings and he didnt seem concerned. My random blood glucose and fasting glucose has not raised concerns in the past but i feel tired and thirsty. I have also never seen my blood sugar 11.1 three hours after eating. I realise jam is high in sugar and bread is high in carbs but surely 11.1 that long after eating isnt right? I am reluctant to go back to go because i was brushed off before and my blood sugar issues arent that apparent until its not dropping after eating like it should. Ive never had a glucose test done.

What do you think????

I Think you should eat more Healthy foods with proteins and fats and vegetables instead of jam pasta and bread

What you are eating in the above menthioned are all High spiking foods which are not healthy to anyone , actually it seems it is the Extreme fluctuations from high to low and back again that is the most promoting of cardio vascular disease of cause also combined with too High levels all time of blood glucose

A non diabetic can also eat far too much High spiking foods without being and sometimes also without becomming diabetic But still doing nothing good for his or hers overall healt from a bad eating style
