Be careful which site you use. A UK issued sensor will only work on UK issued phone, so an Italian (for example) sensor will not work with a UK phone.Worst case scenario if can't find somewhere to buy and your staying away for several more days might be worth ordering one of amazon or another website and have it delivered to your holiday accomodation (check deliverly times). enjoy your holiday
i've seen a few posts regarding CGM's have yet to see with Fingerprick flash glucose readers cheap and cheerful no bluetooth / wifi etc needed for those which appears that CGM's may have issue with on occasionBe careful which site you use. There's been posts and threads on this in the past.
Thank you. When I am home I will write toHave had similar problems on holiday in warm places… have purchased large plasters for wounds to hold a Libre 2 in place. My DN at home gave me some wonderful see Through sticky patches I used to use when swimming , but have not been able to track them down anywhere.
before you apply the new CGM wash and dry the new site thoroughly. Wipe with alcohol swab, allow to dry again, apply
sensor, and leave the applicator in position for a count of 10. Remove the applicator carefully, then seal round the edge of the sensor with a dry finger.
then apply a band aid, plaster, whatever to hold the thing on! I think patches are supposed to have a hole in the middle to align with the hole in the sensor. …so it doesn’t get water logged?
hoping you have a finger stick/glucose monitor with you, but it shouldn’t be a problem to buy one in a pharmacy..pictures off the internet will help explain if there is a language barrier.
hope you can enjoy the rest of your holiday.
Thank you. When I am home I will write to Abbott and suggest they include a patch with each sensor. It may be my bad luck that this has happened and grateful for your advice.Have had similar problems on holiday in warm places… have purchased large plasters for wounds to hold a Libre 2 in place. This sounds silly probably, as I'm only on my second sensor ever, but I've found that the patch lets loose the moment I have sunscreen near it. No idea if the same goes for the sensor itself, as I've been applying with some margin around it since the patches made a run for it... But it might be part of the issue maybe? Just floating the notion is all.Thank you. When I am home I will write to
