Type 2
Hi, I'm new to the forum but not to type 2 diabetes which I've had for 20 years. Had my first ever hypo last week, very very scary for me and my family.
Doctor at hospital told me to stop taking some of my tablets and just stick to metformin. Since then my blood readings have been all over but mainly between 11 and 18.
My question is as follows, I have an appointment with the diabetes nurse at the end of this month, I can't get one earlier, is this level of reading dangerous for that length of time, I would like to manage to survive till my appointment.
Thanks

Not easy to answer your question @Deka as it varies from person to person.

Some people feel ill with lower levels than yours, I was wandering around at 31mmol at the point of diagnosis and had felt nothing apart from the classic symptoms of excessive thirst and weeing.

It certainly isn't doing you any good though. If you start to feel ill, then get yourself down to A+E. In the meantime, you coud try reducing your carb intake - (unless you're already low carbing of course.)

Thank you, I'm not low carb but I'll certainly give it a try
