Hi everyone / anyone - my first posting ! I was diagnosed with Type 1 in December last year, twice daily jabs required. I forgot my insulin on a recent business trip and therefore went without my evening jab, but surprised to see my levels were ok the following morning at 6.8. Thought I'd leave the jab until my levels started to rise, but they didn't, and have been in the range of 7.2 as a high, to 5.0 as a low ever since ( 4 days )
I'm confused - could I have been misdiagnosed ? I don't understand why my blood sugar levels appear to normal, without any insulin whatsoever - has anyone ever had a similar experience, or got any advice ? Many thanks

I'm interested.

How much insulin are/were you taking? - and which insulin, exactly?

Are you at all overweight?

And have you been doing much exercise - such as merely walking around a lot - these past few days?

Hi - Novomix 30, 12ml in the mornings and 14 in the evenings - both at meal times. I'm 6'2" and weigh just over 15 stone - excercise levels haven't really changed for the last 3 months

Oh. The 'honeymoon' period.

(I never had one of those myself.)

I guess one should talk to one's GP about that.

And please be careful, too.

yep i was same, its the honeymoon period lol i thought i was cured lol

I used to take tiny amounts of insulin during the honeymoon period so enjoy it while it lasts.

I forgot my Basal insulin while away for a night last August. After speaking to a Dr through NHS 24, the outcome was it would probably be ok which it was.

That was towards the end of my honeymoon period.
