The dietitians in the NHS are not very good with the food advice I'm afraid. They say you should have carbs with every meal etc. Once you have questions I am fairly certain that someone on here will answer them.
Hi Gary, welcome to the forum I can give you lots of suggestions for lunches but it depends what you enjoy eating. Obviously lots of salad options. Include such things as boiled egg, avocado, olives, nuts including pine nuts, cheese, fish eg mackerel, salmon, tuna. If you have a Lidl near you, seek out their protein rolls from the fresh bread counter and use to make a sandwich (better if you toast them first). If you don't mind doing a bit of cooking, make a low carb frittata or have a look at some of these recipes: http://www.ruled.me/bacon-avocado-muffins/ http://marmaladeandmileposts.com/archives/22650 https://divaliciousrecipes.com/2013/08/27/flatbread-coconut-flour-and-psyllium/
Don't forget you can always chuck any dinner leftovers into a blender to make soup. Take in a thermos flask.
Full fat natural yoghurt with berries is good too.
